First AX20 Operational in Australia

The Forrest Beach Hotel in Queensland's Tropical North recently underwent a major refurbishment, including the replacement of its tired old septic tank with an Orenco AdvanTex® AX20.  The AX20 was chosen for its ease of installation and handling in the tight confines of space next to the Pub, as well as for its ability to cater for the extreme shock loadings likely to occur between the winter and summer months.  The proximity of the irrigation area to the beach also meant the owners had to choose a system that would produce a reliable, consistently high quality of effluent.

While the AX20 is usually used for single household applications, it is approved for up to 2,000 litres in any application, making it ideal for a wide range of small commercial applications, such as the Forrest Beach Hotel.  Other applications, where the variable-flow capabilities of the AX20 are ideal, include toilet blocks, rest areas, information kiosks, small campgrounds, and rural schools.

To show just how well the system copes with these conditions, and because it is the first in the country, we will be running a 4-month testing programme on the system with fortnightly sampling of key influent and effluent parameters as well as volumes treated by the unit.

Watch this space for live data updates on how the system is performing, the first set of performance results will be available in the New Year.
